Voyager Jet

Airport Hangar Construction and Fixed-Base Operatory (FBO) Building

Voyager Jet is a private company that leases corporate jets; their business was growing and they wanted to expand more in the Pittsburgh area. To establish themselves as a leader in the market they needed a facility that spared no amenities. Voyager’s architect recommended New Belle Construction based on their reputation and status.

New Belle Construction designed and built a custom, world-class hangar and fixed-base operatory (FBO) facility from the ground up at the Allegheny County Airport. These were the first new buildings on Allegheny Airport grounds in over 30 years.

The finished footprint of the buildings came in at 18,500 square feet for the hangar and 7,900 square feet for the FBO terminal. The hangar is capable of storing a large business jet that could carry anywhere from 11 to 18 passengers. And the FBO terminal was designed to provide a waiting area with amenities including a private lounge for pilots, quiet rooms, wi-fi and ramp-side car service.

New Belle Construction worked and completed the build while Voyager Jet was open for business and while the airport was open and operating on a daily basis.
